The GE Voluson E8, is a premium 4D OB/GYN ultrasound machine that was the top-of-the-line before the E10 and remain a best seller. Like all Voluson machines it specializes in OB/GYN and women’s health and offers limited shared service options. Doctors looking for shared service capabilities from GE should consider the GE Logiq E9 instead. The E8 is the best in the world at what it does, which provides incredible, amazing 4D imaging in any probe and situation needed, including the rare 4D linear. The E8 is the successor to the Voluson 730 expert which has been the most popular and well known 4D ultrasound machines in the world. The E8 improves upon the Voluson 730 in every aspect, screen size, resolution, speed, physical size, and software features. Refurbished late model (BT12 or BT13) Voluson E8s are a great value and if you don’t need HD live (high resolution 4D) then older models like the BT10 offer the best price to performance ratio.
